Gold Mine's barn name is "Dickens".  His sire, *Pendock Prospector, was bred by the famous Pendock Stud in England and was imported to the United States by Cynthia Kirby of Saltwood Farm. Prospector is by the well-known Welsh sire, Bureside Mandate, and out of Pendock Poise, a maternal sibling to *Pendock Masterpiece.

Dickens' dam, *Boston Blodwyn, is by the famous stallion, Varndell Right Royal, and out of Downland Emmerline by Downland Mohawk, the sire of the  well-known Welsh stallion, Downland Rembrandt. She is the only known daughter of Varndell Right Royal in the USA.
