Our mares are selected with the same qualities in mind that our stallions possess. They are chosen for their conformation, movement, temperament and pedigree. We are expecting 3 foals in 2011. 1992 Welsh Section B mare - 13hh. Silk's sire, Gayfield's Vida Blue, is consistently at the top of the USEF Leading Hunter Pony Sires list. She is a very big mover and produces outstanding foals. Silk has been checked in foal to Land's End Adagio for 2011. This foal should be another top prospect for the hunter ring.

Pandora is a chestnut sabino/rabicano Section B Welsh mare standing 13hh. She is a full sister to Pony Dot Com, 2002 USEF #1 small/medium hunter pony. Her sire. Benlea Rambler, is in the top 10 of the USEF Leading Hunter Pony Sires list. Pandora is a gorgeous mover with big expressive eyes and a kind temperament. She has been bred to Barkmeadow Gold Mine for a 2012 foal.

2002 Welsh Section B mare - 12.2hh. Festival's sire, *Carolinas Red Fox, has sired numerous top pony hunters and is consistently at the top of the USEF Leading Hunter Pony Sires list. Her dam, *Llanarth Gala, is by *Twyford Signal, who has sired many winning Welsh ponies both in the UK and the USA.
Benlea Minuet

1987 Welsh Section B Mare- 13.3hh. This grand old lady is a granddaughter of the great Farnley Lustre and the great Coed Coch Ballog. Her dam was a full sister to Duntulm's Two Step, the dam of the great Glannant Tango. Minuet is also a half sibling to the USEF Leading Hunter Pony Sire, Benlea Rambler, and possesses the bone, size and movement to produce champion hunter ponies. She foaled a beautiful filly by Land's End Adagio in May of 2008. Minuet is the dam of Quicksilver Butterfly (2nd Overall in the Small Greens at 2011 USEF Pony Hunter Finals. She has been bred to Land's End Rondo for a September 2012 foal.

2003 Black Section B Welsh Mare - 13 1/2hh. Ebony's grandsire on the sire side, Carolinas Red Fox, is always at or near the top of the USEF Leading Hunter Pony Sire's list and her grandsire on the dam side, Smoke Tree Silver Dragon, is also on the Leading Sire's list. Her granddam on the dam side is by Rotherwood State Occasion. Ebony is a beautiful mover with outstanding conformation.

2005 Section B Welsh Mare - 13.3hh- Rainier's pedigree contains the great Welsh sires, Downland Rembrandt, Belvoir Hawthorn, Glannant Mariner and the Royal Welsh winner, Cwrtycadno Cadfridog. She is a beautiful mover and a very large Section B with plenty of Welsh type. Rainier foaled a beautiful filly by Land's End Adagio in 2009 and a lovely colt by Land's End Rondo in 2010.

1994 Section B Welsh mare - 13.1 1/2hh Blodwyn is the only daughter of the famous stallion, Varndell Right Royal, in the United States. Her sire is also the sire of such well known stallions as Boston Bentick, Boston Bonaparte, Douthwaite Grenadier and Rosedale Royal Flare. Blodwyn is also the dam of our new buckskin stallion prospect, Barkmeadow Gold Mine. Quicksilver Farm is very fortunate to have a mare of this quality and breeding in our broodmare band. She is in foal to Land's End Adagio and is due in May of 2012.

This lovely imported mare is the dam of our new homozygous black stallion prospect, Barkmeadow Black Gold. She is an outstanding mover and has a wonderful temperament. One of the last ponies imported from the famous Pendock Stud, Hickory is a very welcome addition to our broodmare band. Hickory foaled a gorgeous black colt by Barkmeadow Gold Mine in June of 2011.
